This month, both Colorado and California updated their posters for employers to distribute and display for employees.

California Update:

California employers should update their workplace postings. The Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) has released a revised Healthy Workplaces/Healthy Families Act poster reflecting recent paid sick leave amendments—including AB 406 (2025), which clarifies that employees may use paid sick leave for victims' leave, court appearances, and jury duty.

Poster available at: HEALTHY WORKPLACES/HEALTHY FAMILIES ACT OF 2014 PAID SICK LEAVE

Colorado Update:

Colorado has updated the required FAMLI Program Notice to include Neonatal Care Leave and align with current statutory requirements under 7 CCR 1107-3, Section 3.7.

Employer requirements:

  • Provide written notice about FAMLI benefits, eligibility, and how to apply
  • Post or distribute the notice where all employees—including remote workers—can access it
  • Provide the notice at hire and upon request

Employers should replace any prior versions with the updated notice immediately.
