Product Account Coordinator, HUB Florida

Lorena Velez is the Product Account Coordinator for HUB Florida. She is experienced, enthusiastic, and an attentive insurance professional who works collaboratively with Producers, co-workers, and company representatives to achieve common goals. She truly enjoys making connections and applying her knowledge and experience to support clients and her team.

Upon joining HUB Florida in 2016, Lorena fulfilled the role of Technical Assistant for the Select Business Unit. In 2020, Lorena was promoted to Account Manager for the Select Business Unit. In this role, Lorena handled the complete account, including servicing, sales recommendations and risk management. In May 2021, Lorena joined the HUB Marketing Team as a Product Account Coordinator.

Prior to transferring to HUB Florida, Lorena was a part of the HUB Northeast team in New Jersey from 2013 to 2016. There she gained experience as an Assistant Account Executive on the Personal Lines team for Private Clients. Lorena obtained her General Lines Agent 2-20 License while in NJ and currently holds a Florida 220 License, Florida Notary License, and is looking to pursue her CISR designation.

Prior to her HUB career, Lorena’s earlier work experience was in the financial industry as a Mortgage Loan Executive and Credit Analyst for Doral Bank, in Puerto Rico. Lorena attended Interamerican University in Aguadilla, PR where she majored in Marketing.

Lorena enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel.
