The Department of Labor (DOL) has released updated guidance and a FAQ regarding the PUMP Act that was signed into law at the end of 2022.
Pump Act – DOL Guidance
The Department of Labor (DOL) has released Fact Sheet #73: FLSA Protections for Employees to Pump Breast Milk at work as well as an FAQ regarding the law. The PUMP Act was signed into law by President Biden on December 29, 2022. We have included links to both documents below.

Employers should review their handbooks and policies to ensure that they are in compliance with the DOL guidance as noted above.
