Michael Sabanos currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HUB International Northeast. In this role, Michael is responsible for HUB Northeast’s operating and administrative functions, special projects, compliance with internal service standards and all merger and acquisition activity for the region.

Prior to being appointed to this role in 2017, Michael served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President of HUB Northeast, since 1996. Prior to joining HUB, Mr. Sabanos held various financial positions in the insurance brokerage industry, including US Corporate Finance Director of Willis Group Holdings Ltd., and began his career with Deloitte & Touche.

He is an active member of Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association and the Society of Insurance Financial Management. He was a recent recipient of the CFO of the Year Award by Long Island Business News in 2015, as well as an Executive Management Award from SmartCEO.

Michael earned a Master in Business Administration Degree from New York University in 1986 and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Villanova University in 1978.
