Joseph (Joe) Torella currently serves as President of Employee Benefits for HUB International’s East Region. Responsible for the overall management of the Employee Benefits operations throughout HUB’s East Region operations, Mr. Torella holds over three decades of insurance industry experience. 

Prior to joining HUB, Joe Torella served as Vice President, Business Development with Savoy Associates, a group benefits general agency in New Jersey, where he was responsible for overseeing a regional office and expansion of the firm in Central and Southern New Jersey and into Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, he has held a number of other managerial and executive positions for managed care companies and the consulting community. Mr. Torella is the immediate past-president of the Central Jersey Association of Health Underwriters and a past-president of the NJ Association of Health Underwriters - the NJ statewide organization. He is also a past-president of the Northern New Jersey Chapter. Joe is a member of the American Marketing Association, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Inc. and the Private Exchange Research Council.

He has been a continuing education instructor for over 20 years and is a leading health care reform policy expert and distinguished speaker on many topics including consumer-driven healthcare, transparency, targeted wellness interventions, outcomes-based plan designs and related health care trends. He continues to be one of the most sought after speakers and advisors on cost, quality and access. In addition, Mr. Torella is a well published editorial contributor; he has authored a monthly column in the Financial Advisor, written articles for Corporate Wellness Magazine, has been featured in Crain's New York Business, authored a published book chapter on corporate wellness programs and is often quoted by the media.

Mr. Torella earned his Master in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts Degrees from Rutgers University.
