The Greenlight Retirement Program®

The Greenlight Retirement Program^® is an example of HUB’s leadership role within the retirement space. It is a single comprehensive investment oversight program that consolidates the governance function for all Plan Sponsors of Capital Accumulation Plans. This program is a pioneer of the growing OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) movement becoming an extension of the Plan Sponsor’s Pension Committee.

The program includes:

• Extensive experience with employee retirement programs including plan designing/implementing, auditing and pricing, investment performance analysis, governance/compliance, and plan member guidance.
• A committee committed to meeting quarterly since 2006.
• Currently managing over $500 million in assets

Reviews: Meeting quarterly without exception since its inception in 2006, the Greenlight Retirement Program® Committee reviews investment performance for each fund and considers measures such as fund performance and organizational changes at the fund manager firms

Responsibility: Share the fiduciary responsibility by completing retirement plan governance documentation and uploading these documents into the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario Pension Services Portal on our clients’ behalf (FSRA PSP). These include: Statements of Investment Policies & Procedures, Annual Information Returns and Form 7 Summary of Contributions

Expertise: The Governance Committee is made up of retirement and investment industry professionals

Communication: We work with our dedicated communication and technology teams to bring forward innovative offerings to meet our clients’ needs. Plan summary booklets, timely notices of fund/menu changes, group education sessions and one-on-one Member meetings with Greenlight Certified Advisors

Member Meetings

• The one-on-one Member Care program is supported by Greenlight Certified Advisors who are investment industry professionals, who have demonstrated a deep understanding of retirement savings and who have appropriate qualifications to help employees properly save for retirement
• Experience shows that when a plan member receives one-on-one support, it increases the likelihood that they will be on track towards an adequate retirement income and will be more satisfied with their pension plan
• The member care program is not mandatory for sponsors participating in the Greenlight Retirement Program®
