Yourself or your production company and its employees will be covered under this policy.
What is covered?
Rented Equipment from Winnipeg Film Group will be covered, up to the selected limit.
Coverage is on a Replacement Cost and Broad Form basis – however it’s important to note that losses from unlocked vehicles and overnight vehicle storage are excluded. This is the most common cause of loss for rented equipment, so it’s imperative that equipment is not left in unlocked vehicles or in vehicles overnight.
You as the policy purchaser will also have Commercial General Liability coverage for the duration of the policy, in the event that you or your company are sued for bodily injury or third party property damage arising from your filming operations.
What is the deductible?
$1,000 – meaning the first $1,000 of any loss will be payable by the policy holder.
What is the pricing?
Premiums depend on the amount of equipment coverage required, and the duration of the rental.

How long does it take to get the policy in place?
We do require 2 business day to determine if your rental is eligible for coverage, so please ensure your form is submitted prior to your first day of rental.

How do I pay?
Once the policy is quoted, you will receive an email from HUB International. Payment can be made by credit card to them directly by phone – your policy binder will then be issued to you by e-mail.
Who do I contact if I need a Certificates of Insurance?
You can reach out to [email protected] for Certificates of Insurance. Note that a certificate will be automatically issued to Winnipeg Film Group. We can provide additional certificates of insurance as needed (for a location, or to the City of Winnipeg, for example).
