Scarborough Insurance has been serving the Gainesville area since 1961, when our founder, Earl Scarborough, left his coaching position at the University of Florida and opened an insurance practice. His son Rick joined the business in 1972 and his grandson, Brian, subsequently joined in 1996. Scarborough Insurance joined HUB International Florida in 2017. The merger better positioned our agency to serve our customers by adding the vast resources and expertise of HUB International, ranked among the Top 10 insurance brokerages worldwide.
Our experienced, professional staff of insurance brokers in Gainesville provide a consultative approach to our Personal and Commercial clients for all lines of insurance as well as employee benefits and all types of bonds. Tailoring commercial insurance packages and employee benefit programs for large and small businesses is our specialty. As independent agents, we have the unique ability to shop the insurance marketplace on your behalf in order to find the optimal combination of coverage and price.
We are also the long-time servicing agent of the University of Florida’s Student Health Insurance program.
