Addressing the Opioid Crisis
HUB Event | AceBounce
230 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60601
Nearly one in three people know someone addicted to opioids. The opioid crisis is something that affects all of us, as employers, as employees and as human beings. Overdoses on prescription painkillers is now the leading cause of unintentional death, even surpassing car crashes.
HUB has assembled an expert panel whose experience spans all sides of the epidemic – from the perspective of the insurance carrier, workers’ compensation, litigation, rehabilitation, medical, and a recovering addict. This seminar will address the realities of addiction and explore what companies can do to protect against financial and legal risks that opioid abuse brings to the workplace, in addition to providing the support for their workforce to help ease the recovery process at work.
