History

Maritime was originally founded in 1937 by Harold and Bill Gottsacker as the Gottsacker Agency in Sheboygan, WI. As the surrounding area grew, the Gottsacker Agency evolved into one of the largest independently-owned agencies in Wisconsin with expertise in Commercial Property and Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal Insurance. In early 2013, Maritime was acquired by HUB International, becoming a part of HUB Midwest.

We have continued this tradition and developed divisions that specialize in specific risk areas from the most basic individual customer needs, to the most sophisticated corporate requirements. Our goal is to give you the same prompt, cost-effective, and high-quality service we have been providing since 1937.
