HUB Transportation Colchester

Founded in 1976, HUB Transportation Eastern Operations in Vermont originated with Tom Coburn, founder of Coburn Insurance Agency, Inc.

Tom recognized that niche specialization would allow his staff and sales people to develop expertise in a given area which would separate them quickly from their competition on both the customer side as well as within the insurance community. Coburn quickly became the Northeast's largest transportation specialist and worked with customers from Maine to Florida. HUB purchased the Coburn Agency in 2007, and today the Vermont office services trucking clients east of the Mississippi.

Today, our Vermont insurance office support staff averages over 15 years with Coburn/HUB -- all of which will have been servicing transportation clients. Although we are a relatively large agency, we pride ourselves on keeping the number of contact points for our customers small, preferring to work on relationships where we get to know our customers and they get to know us.
