The Crichton Company, which later became The Crichton Group, was founded in 1979. The agency grew rapidly, winning the loyalty of clients through personal service. In 1988, we acquired E.S. Brugh Co., an agency with a proud heritage dating back to 1902. In 1993, the company once again enhanced its capabilities by merging with the Brandon Insurance Agency, which was founded in 1951. In 1997, The Crichton Group merged with Granbery & Associates, and the final building block was added in 2016 with the acquisition of RLH Agency, a Nashville-based agency specializing in insurance for the construction industry. More than 40 years ago, Rob Crichton founded The Crichton Group as an insurance agency that put its employees and client relationships above all else. He knew if he got those two things right, everything else would fall into place. Since 1979, our priorities have remained the same, and we continue to put employees and clients first.
