HUB International Custer

Our office was one of the original insurance offices started by First Western Bank. In December of 2010 First Western Insurance was purchased by Herb Hill, who later sold to HUB International in May of 2019. Custer has been greeting guests for more than 125 years, and is the oldest city in the Black Hills. It was gold that brought the first settlers to Custer County, as they followed the wagon tracks of the 1,000-strong 1874 Expedition led by Lt. Col. George A. Custer. But it is other, less tangible lures that entice residents to the area today: spectacular scenery, a wide variety of recreational opportunities, world-class attractions, a healthy environment, a sense of community and an indefinable essence.
