The Columbus Office started in 2011 from scratch. Greg Overmyer, Brian Hall and Dan Overmyer had worked together previously thru two different mergers. We wanted to start it from scratch because we felt we could get the best people in town to help us take care of our clients, and create a growth-oriented broker. The company was started with a mindset of giving a Big Broker Experience thru local friends. We had the knowledge of the Big Brokers, but we had the local presence. We were good technicians, but we have more. We are present in the community, serving on Boards of many local nonprofits and contributing to the community. Our pressure to be sure our clients had the right products and are aligned with the right carriers to protect the assets of their company is what drives us. While starting as a generalist, we quickly moved into the construction niche. As that grew, we opened up a specialty in construction performance bonds. It was built from one advisor to a large Pillar of the Columbus location. We are now one of the largest contract surety providers in Ohio. As this progressed, we started working more with developers and large property owners. We worked hard to become a resource to the construction industry, teaching classes and supporting the state construction associations. As we started working with more CEO's we developed a high net worth personal lines space. The team has worked hard to become a trusted referral source for financial planners who want to be sure their clients are insured properly. Thru our community involvement, we developed a strong niche in Nonprofits, writing some of the greatest contributors to our region. Some of our proud achievement since 2011 are having milestones such as winning the Best Insurance Agency in Columbus 5 times, Wonderful places to work 3 times, Fastest 50 growing companies in Columbus 2 times, Reagan and Big I Best Practices agency 8 times. We are excited to continue to grow with our clients and our teammates!
