HUB International Rushville

HUB international’s Rushville, NE agency started as a small family owned business in 1963. Buddy and Ila Tiensvold opened B & I Insurance as an independent agency which catered to farm and ranch families and small business. The Tiensvold’s specialized in personal lines, commercial insurance for the many agriculture based businesses, and life insurance. Buddy and Ila were joined by two of their daughters in the 1980’s, and a son, David, in 1991. David managed the agency after his parents’ passing, and built a considerable crop insurance book of business over the next several years. The family chose to sell the long-time family owned business to Community First Insurance in 2002, which, in turn, was purchased by BW Insurance in 2004. David continued to manage the Rushville location until his retirement in 2015. That same year, BW Insurance was acquired by Hub International, and continues its long-standing tradition working with agriculture based customers.

Currently, our office employs three agents, specializing in crop insurance, farm and ranch, small business, home, auto, and health insurance. Our footprint covers a large area of the northern Nebraska panhandle and southwest South Dakota. Our agents have grown up in this area, and generally have a strong personal relationship with our clients. We, as the Tiensvold family has done for many years before us, will remain dedicated to find you the right insurance protection, along with excellent service to all of our customers – big or small.
