Our three principals, Douglas Jones, Fernando Alvarez & Luis Gazitua carried over the passion & discipline they learned on the field as college athletes to the insurance industry. First working as insurance producers, in 2013 they decided to form their own agency, JAG, which would exude their client first philosophy. This allowed them to build the type of agency they were proud of, the foundation of which was authenticity, empathy, and transparency.

Since then, JAG grew exponentially, growing to a staff of over 50 insurance professionals and continuing to expand its services to become an all-purpose insurance agency writing multiple lines of business. JAG has its own stand-alone risk management department, which serves not only to assist our clients with claims, but use preventive measures to make sure risk is mitigated on their assets, JAG has found success in securing coverages for assets within multi-family projects, commercial facilities, condominium associations, concrete mixed in-transit risks, and concrete block manufacturers throughout the entire country.

JAG has been the recipient of several industry awards including NU Property & Casualty’s 2020 Agency of The Year, Insurance Business America ‘s Top insurance Workplace (2020, 2021) and 2021 Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 Producers (Kevin Gazitua).
