Terri Botosan

Background & Experience

Terri Botosan is the Regional President, Employee Benefits, Retirement and Life for HUB International. She is based in Toronto and oversees HUB’s Employee Benefit and Retirement Division in Canada, as well as the wholesale Managing General Agency, Hub Financial Inc. In this role, Terri is responsible for driving an exceptional client experience and continued growth through product and service enhancements that are designed to make HUB a one-stop-shop broker for its clients.

Terri joined HUB in 2000 as President of HUB Financial Inc. She was eventually promoted to CEO of both HUB Financial Inc. and HUB Capital before moving into her current position in 2022.

During her tenure with HUB, Terri played a key role in driving the revenue growth of HUB Financial Inc. and HUB Capital by well over 6 times. She has also overseen the successful acquisition of several companies and retained key employees in those businesses long term. Her current goals include successfully streamlining the Employee Benefits and Retirement division to better serve HUB’s customers and improve the employee experience.

Terri’s outstanding leadership and entrepreneurial spirit have been recognized often, most recently as the recipient of the 2021 Alexander S. Melvin Leadership Award recognizing inspirational and ethical leadership.

With over 35 years of industry experience, a founding seat on the board of APEXA, and over seven years as the President of the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies, Terri continues to be actively involved and integral in making positive advancements to the industry’s landscape.

If she’s not in the office, you will find her travelling, enjoying hot yoga or spending time with her family.
