Canlan Ice Sports Venue Insurance

Coverage is available for the following activities taking place at a Canlan Ice Sports facility:

• Non-contact sports: Adult hockey, minor pick-up hockey, touch/flag football, pick-up lacrosse, martial arts
• Sports and games: Badminton, baseball, basketball, bowling, broomball, cricket, curling, dodgeball, ball/roller/floor hockey, field hockey, figure skating, handball, horseshoes, racquetball, ringette, shuffleboard, soccer, softball, slo-pitch, squash, tee-ball, table tennis, tennis, track and field, ultimate frisbee, volleyball
• Fitness activities: Dance lessons, fitness classes, pleasure skating, swimming (with lifeguard), synchronized swimming, tai chi, yoga
• Community activities and events: Art shows, auctions, bazaars, bridge, exhibits, fashion shows, festivals/concerts, garage sales (for local neighbourhood only), music and dance recitals/performances, religious services, speakers, talent shows, theatre performances, workshops/classroom instruction (e.g., computers, languages, arts, crafts)
• Parties and celebrations: Adult birthday parties, anniversaries, banquets, christenings, dance parties, dinners, graduations, photo shoots, picnics, retirement, reunions, showers, stags, weddings
   

Coverage is NOT available for the following activities:

• Boxing
• Rock climbing
• Contact hockey
• Contact martial arts
• Cycling
• Fireworks
• Gymnastics
• Horse-related activities
• Kickboxing
• Lacrosse
• Minor hockey
• Rugby
• Skateboarding
• Skiing
• Snowboarding
• Tackle football
   

Exclusions apply to the policy, as they do on all insurance policies. This policy excludes claims arising from or related to:

• Asbestos
• Data
• Terrorism
• Abuse

It also includes only limited fungi and fungal derivatives coverage.

Exclusion: This Insurance Policy provides no coverage for any Claim in any way caused by, arising out of or resulting from any disease or contagion (See attached)

Coverage is available for:

• Commercial general liability (up to $2 million)
• Personal injury (up to $2 million)
• Advertising injury (up to $2 million)
• Tenants legal liability (up to $1 million)
• Medical payments (up to $10,000 per person)

The policy also includes:

• Products and completed operations
• Employer’s liability
• Cross liability/severability of insureds
• Incidental medical malpractice
• Occurrence property damage
• Blanket contractual
• Broad form property damage
• Owners’ and contractors’ protective

Note: There is a $1,000 deductible on third-party bodily injury and property damage claims.

Premiums under this program are fully retained upon acceptance of payment. That means the premium will not be refunded if the policy is cancelled by you before the policy expiry date.

Applicable taxes are not included in the costs indicated.
