Association of Saskatchewan Forestry Professionals
Clear the way to peace of mind with Liability insurance for forest industry professionals
Our Professional Errors and Omissions (E&O) Liability, Commercial General Liability and Property Insurance is custom-cut protection for members of the Association of Saskatchewan Forestry Professionals.
Forestry Professional Liability (E&O) insurance protects you against the cost of liability claims arising from errors, omissions or negligence in daily work as defined by your association. A Cessation of Business Endorsement also applies, and extended coverage may be available if you need it.
If you have Professional Liability (E&O) insurance, you can also take on Commercial General Liability insurance — often a contractual requirement and always recommended. Commercial General Liability insurance for forestry professionals includes $1 million in liability coverage for third party forest fire-fighting expenses, and pollution liability can also be purchased.
Property Insurance to meet your specific needs is also available when you have Professional Liability (E&O) insurance, or combine Professional Liability (E&O) insurance with Commercial General Liability insurance.
Coverage Details & Exclusions
Here are some important details of the Association of Saskatchewan Forestry Professionals group insurance policy:
- Professional E&O liability coverage applies only to services that are usual and customary to the practice of a registered professional forest technologist. (The by-laws and/or regulations established by your association would set out what falls within these parameters.) If your practice goes beyond the services noted here, please contact HUB for alternative coverage options for your liability insurance needs.
- Coverage is provided for the firm and its employees while conducting business for the firm.
- Commercial general liability coverage can only be purchased if E&O coverage is in place.
- Defence costs are provided in excess to your policy limit.
- A cessation of business endorsement applies to the E&O policy (it is not required for the commercial general liability policy).
- The commercial general liability policy includes $1 million in liability coverage for third party forest fire-fighting expenses.
