James McElvany, Retired Marsh Executive, Added To Board

Shareholders of Hub International Limited (NYSE:HBG)(TSX:HBG) approved the company's 2005 Equity Incentive Plan at today's annual meeting, the company reported. Shareholders also elected James W. McElvany, a former executive of Marsh, Inc., to the board for a one-year term. All other directors were re-elected until the 2006 annual meeting as well.

The 2005 Equity Incentive Plan replaces the company's current equity incentive plan and does not increase the number of equity awards available for grant by the company. The plan authorizes the board's compensation committee to award up to 3.6 million common shares or equivalents, representing approximately 12% of the shares of the company currently outstanding. McElvany served as a managing director of Marsh & McLennan and as a member of the Marsh, Inc. board of directors until May 1999, when he joined the parent company, reporting to the chairman. He retired from Marsh, Inc. in December 2000, but continued to consult with Marsh through December 2002. He is the co-founder of Books On Tape and Malibu Grand Prix and serves on the board of, a privately-held provider of point-of-sale vehicle insurance.

Shareholders also approved the re-election of all nine continuing directors and ratified the re-appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent auditors.
