 Hub International Limited, a leading insurance brokerage firm, announced today that Deborah (Deb) Deters, Senior Vice President of Human Resources was named as the recipient of the 2011 Leadership Award by The Corporate Health and Wellness Association (CHWA) in conjunction with Corporate Wellness Magazine (CWM).

This award recognizes leaders in the wellness industry for providing an exemplary program of innovation consistent with the vision of the Corporate Health and Wellness Association’s goals. The award also honors individuals whose professional accomplishments embody such qualities that drive the health and wellness industry forward.

Ms. Deters, who was one of 21 winners, was presented this award at the CHWA and CWM Annual Meeting held last week in Chicago. She oversees all Human Resource strategic initiatives for Hub including employee benefits, talent acquisition and management, employee relations, learning and development, compensation, and payroll, and has more than 20 years of Human Resources experience. She has been a driving force in establishing a comprehensive wellness program for Hub International’s employees since joining the organization in 2009. Additionally, in conjunction with Hub’s Employee Benefits practice group, Deb and her team have helped to validate best practices for Hub’s consultants when incorporating a strong wellness initiative into their clients’ health care programs; the critical role of education and communication resonate in the award winning program.
