HUB International Limited (NYSE: HBG)(TSX: HBG) announced that it has mailed to persons who were shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 4, 2007 proxy materials for its special meeting of shareholders in connection with the proposed acquisition of HUB by funds advised by Apax Partners together with Morgan Stanley Principal Investments.

HUB's special meeting of shareholders will be held at 9:00 a.m., Chicago time, on June 5, 2007 at the CNA Conference Center, located at 333 S. Wabash Street, 2nd Floor, Chicago, IL. Please note that the time of the special meeting has been changed to 9:00 a.m., Chicago time.

HUB also announced that the Federal Trade Commission has granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, relating to the proposed acquisition.
