Andy Prill2

Andy Prill, President and CEO

Andy Prill has construction and finance in his blood. His father was a CFO for a large general contractor in Washington and Alaska, where Andy spent many years as a seasonal laborer. He gained an appreciation of how contractors think, and learned of the challenges of the job. Andy has worked in the insurance and surety industry since 1995 and has been with HUB Northwest for over a decade. He currently serves as HUB Northwest’s President and CEO. “HUB Northwest is managed by individuals who actually work with customers. So we run our business with our customers’ best interests in mind.” With a background in property casualty insurance and surety bonds, Andy takes a direct approach to business: “Be experts in our field, advocate for our clients and serve as trusted advisors.” To his way of thinking, effort and expertise is a powerful combination. A Cougar, Andy graduated from Washington State with a degree in business administration.

Jeff Barrom

Jeffrey Barrom, Executive Vice President, Central Washington

Jeff has worked in the insurance industry for over 18 years. He began his career with R.F. Strain Insurance in Sunnyside, WA. In 1999, Jeff became a partner in R. F. Strain Insurance, Inc. In 2006, he merged his agency with Argus Insurance. Jeff held various positions at Argus Insurance including Sales Manager, Vice President and eventually became the President of the agency. In 2014, Jeff successfully lead the Argus management team during their acquisition by HUB International. Jeff's current role is Executive Vice President of the Central Washington region of HUB International Northwest. He specializes in commercial insurance and business solutions with an emphasis in agriculture, healthcare, public entity and construction.


Jeff is a 1991 graduate of Washington State University (WSU), with a degree in finance and economics. He and his wife Erika, also a WSU graduate and 4th grade teacher, have been married for 19 years. They love to wake surf, travel, exercise and spend time with friends and their three dogs enjoying the great outdoors.

Barry Hanson

Barry Hanson, Executive Vice President, Bellingham 

Barry Hanson joined The Unity Group in 1996. He became a Shareholder and Board Member in 1997. He held several positions at The Unity Group including Treasurer, Sales Manager and he became President in 2001. In August 2013, with the acquisition of The Unity Group, by HUB Northwest, Barry became an Executive Vice President in charge of the Bellingham office, and serves on the Executive Committee that leads the region. 

Barry graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance and spent eight years as an agent and marketing manager with an insurance company in the Midwest. His areas of expertise in insurance are public entity, seafood processing, petroleum marketers, heavy industry/manufacturing and wood products.

In addition to his many duties at HUB Northwest, Barry has served on several boards and volunteers with several local organizations and charities including:

  • Rotary Club Bellingham

Scott Jones

Scott Jones, CPCU AAI, Executive Vice President, Eastern Washington

Scott Jones was a 4th generation owner and President CEO of Fidelity Associates prior to Fidelity’s merger with HUB in 2014. Scott is a graduate of Washington State University and has a degree in business with a minor in insurance and risk management. He began his insurance career as a commercial property underwriter for United Pacific Reliance Insurance Company in Los Angeles. He received the Industry Leader of the Year award from the Spokane Insurance Associates in 2002. Scott has expertise in education, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, nonprofits, construction and wineries. He is very involved in his industry and in the community, volunteering for a number of organizations and serving on a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards. Scott and his wife, Vicki, have three sons.
C Lovsted 

Carl M. Lovsted iii,  EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, Seattle & Chehalis

Carl Lovsted was the CEO of Lovsted-Worthington prior to Lovested-Worthington's merger with HUB in 2015.  Carl is a longtime resident of Seattle and a 1981 graduate of the University of Washington.  After a year of training at a Portland insurance company, Carl moved back to the Seattle area to begin his career in the family insurance brokerage business.  For the next ten years, he built his own book of business and learned from his father, from whom he purchased Lovsted Company in 1992.  In 2000, Lovsted Company merged with Worthington Insurance.

Carl has chaired several committees for the Independent Insurance Agents of Washington and has served on many local and national advisory councils for insurance carriers.  Through those associations, he has developed strong relationships with many of their top executives.  Outside of insurance, Carl enjoys almost all outdoor activities, including: boating, biking, and golf.  Carl, his wife and three children reside in the Seattle area.  

Steve Clark 2

Steve Clark, Chief Operating Officer

Steve Clark knows how to bring value to insurance and surety clients. He is a senior insurance executive with more than 25 years of experience in sales management and strategic leadership, including many years of experience as a CEO. Steve has a proven track record of success in creating winning sales and service teams, and in delivering outstanding growth and customer satisfaction.

Tim Kennedy

Tim Kennedy, Executive Vice President, Employee Benefits Market Leader 

Tim is a 27 year veteran in the financial service and insurance industry.  Since, 1997 Tim has successfully led the Northwest Benefits Operations for two prominent Fortune 500 insurance companies.  Tim's expertise is in the ancillary employee benefits area including: disability, life, dental and voluntary products. Tim has his CPA designation and is a graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Economics.  He and his wife Kris have been married for over 25 years and they have two children.  Tim is an avid golfer, sailor, sports fan and loves spending time with his family and their two Labrador retrievers.

Garth Hamilton2

Garth Hamilton, Vice President, Chief Sales Officer 

Garth has over fifteen years in the insurance industry and over the years he has held various positions in operations and sales in personal lines insurance, commercial insurance and employee benefits.  In 2012, HUB International acquired Connor & Kelly Insurance, where Garth was in charge of Sales Management Operations and he became the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Eastern Washington region.  In addition to his duties as the Eastern Washington sales leader, Garth has successfully served as the National Sales Leader for AARMO, HUB Northwest's agribusiness insurance program.  Garth joined the Executive Management Team of HUB Northwest in 2015 and is currently serving as Chief Sales Officer.

Garth is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and holds a business degree in General Management and Marketing.  He and his wife Kacey, an elementary school teacher and small business owner, have two boys and two girls.  The Hamilton family enjoys spending as much free time as possible on the water, camping and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Deb Milter

Deborah Milter, Vice President, Director of Human Resources

You’d expect any one in human resources to be a people person. And Deborah Milter is no exception. With more than 25 years in the HR industry, Deborah makes it her job to know what a company needs and delivers that with integrity, innovation, quality and efficiency. 

With a degree in social work and graduate studies in labor relations and human resources, Deborah brings keen insights and real-world experience to HUB International in the areas of staffing and organizational development. Away from the office, she balances travel with reading, gardening, skiing, hiking and swimming.
