Chief Operating Officer

Wayne Dauwen has over 26 years of experience in the financial industry and has been directly involved in the insurance industry since 2006.  He joined Bank of the West (previously Community First Bank) in 1997 holding positions of Vice President Electronic Banking and Vice President Technology Solutions and serving on the Technology Center’s Senior Management Team. In 2006 Dauwen accepted the position of Chief Administrative Officer for BW Insurance Agency, Inc., a subsidiary of Bank of the West.

As Chief Administrative Officer for BW Insurance, based out of the home office in Fargo, ND,  he managed the departments and processes for Business Systems, Operations, Accounting (4/2006 – 6/2010).  These areas included project management, system management and administration, field system support, training, compliance and regulatory management, general operations and procedures, E&O management, licensing, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and reconcilements.   Wayne was also the liaison for Human Resources, Information Technology and coordinator for legal activity including mergers and acquisitions as well as litigation and employee relations.  He was a member of the BW Insurance Senior Management team and was accountable for Administration, Compliance and Operations presentations at board meetings at the bank headquarters in San Francisco. 

His prior experience includes eight plus years with First Community Credit Union, Jamestown, ND, where he served in various positions including Loan Servicing Manager, Director of Operations, and Vice President of Operations.

Wayne received his BA in Business Administration and Mathematics from Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND.
