 Blue Santee Senior Risk Consultant

Blu has over 15 years of experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety Field. Following his service to the U.S. Army, Blu worked for Granite Construction Company in a Safety Supervisor role where he was responsible for oversight of employee and public safety on several large industrial construction projects throughout northern California. In this role, he also managed safety and compliance for two aggregate mines and three hot plants. 

Following his time spent in the construction industry, Blu was an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for Plum Creek Timber Co. where he was responsible for all facets of workplace safety, including accident investigations, regulatory compliance, loss control, training, workers' compensation, etc. for MDF and Plywood Manufacturing Divisions. Blu spent the last 4+ years working for the Montana State Fund where he provided risk, safety and workers compensation consultation to policyholders in a variety of industries throughout northwest Montana. 

Blu has a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Montana Tech and is a Certified Mine Safety Professional (CMSP) and Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Blu is an active member in the Composite Panel Association, the Engineered Wood Products Association, and is on the board of directors for WorkSafeMT.
