The Equipment Rental Industry is comprised of companies that rent personal property, tools and equipment to the public. There are more than 12,000 rental operations throughout the United States and Canada. The American Rental Association divides them into three broad categories: construction and industrial equipment; general tools; and party and special event equipment.
