HUB New England’s risk management approach is about partnering with our clients to help our clients make the informed decisions on your risk management program. In short, the team that services your account and knows your risk profile the best develops and writes your submission; then after our clients sign off on the submission, the same team presents your submission to the appropriate carriers and providers. Finally, together with our clients' team, we negotiate the finalized terms. The best programs, coverage and price are obtained with this approach.
The following are some of the key steps in preparing to understand and market your account; together we would develop a plan based on these main steps:
- Meet with the clients risk management team to determine the strategy and reason for the marketing effort
- We would prepare an underwriting master (an excel file that contains all of the key information carriers need)
- Provide the Underwriting master to client for updating
- Prepare a detailed submission, identifying information on client including, coverage specifications, loss summaries, large claims listing, historical and current underwriting information. This would also include coverage improvements, target pricing, and date deadlines
- Deliver the submission to the identified carriers; discuss the plan to gain interest
- Schedule meeting with clients risk management team to meet with those underwriter that have demonstrated interest and ability to make targets
- Keeping clients risk management team in the loop along the way, the presentation date is anti climatic, as you will know progress week to week if not day to day
- Deliver Binders, Certificates and auto ID Cards and Invoices if premium financing is not on a direct bill basis
- Provide to clients risk management team a 'As Sold Revised Proposal" followed by the Policy book including a policy summary
- Provide premium allocation as agreed
- Provide stewardship report is conjunction with clients risk management team for presentation to Clients management
- Actuary studies are arranged by outside independent actuaries on all large retention programs
