W. Kirk James, Chief Operating Officer of HUB International, serves on the Company’s Executive Management Team. In his capacity as COO, Kirk manages the Company’s customer-centric Hub 2.0 initiative, and is responsible for customer segmentation, insurance carrier, and operational strategies designed to optimize the Hub customer experience.

Kirk acted as legal counsel for the brokerages that formed HUB International in 1998 and as General Counsel of the company through 2004. From 2005 through 2007 Kirk acted as Chief Corporate Development Officer, managing people strategies, corporate organizational planning and internal communications. Kirk then acted as President of HUB’s Central Region (Canada and the US Midwest) from 2008 until being named COO in September, 2009.

Kirk earned his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Western Ontario (Canada). Kirk is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario), the Union League Club of Chicago, and The Canada-U.S. Business Council Chicago. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Family Services, one of Chicago’s largest charities serving families in need in the greater Chicago area.
